Every wonder what a eye doctor does all day long or a banker?  Give one a call and see if they will let your child job-shadow for awhile.  It's worth the call, the worst they could say is "no". Here are some other ideas:

1. AUTO BODY SHOP MECHANIC
-how do they fix cars? or paint them? or decide what is wrong? 
2. ELECTRICIAN
-what do they do?  do they only wire houses and buildings?
3. DOCTOR OR NURSE
-visit St. Josephs Hospital, a clinic or Lynden Care Center
4. HOTEL MANAGER
-what all goes on at a hotel?  how do they decide what room to put you in?  who do they all staff?  
5. FEDEX DRIVER
-where do they get the packages?  how do they know what truck to put them on?
6. FLORIST
-where do they get the flowers?  how do know how to arrange flowers?  what other things do they do?
7. DENTIST
-how do you become a dentist?  how can the dentist be fun to go to?
8. EYE DOCTOR
-what tools and machines do they use?  how can they tell if you need glasses?
9. BANKER
-do they count money all day? what else do they do? where do they keep the money?
10. LAWYER
-what do they do?  what do you need them for?
